Our main goal is to make your first office visit with us comfortable and informative.
Your first appointment will consist of a free examination and a discussion of any
orthodontic needs. We will recommend treatment options, the best timing for treatment,
and cost of the treatment.
The timing of your treatment is very important. You or your child may or may not be ready for treatment. Therefore a consultation will allow us to better understand your needs.
If you are a candidate for orthodontic treatment and would like to begin the process right away, we're able to get you started just as soon as you are ready – even as soon as your first visit!
We will need to take diagnostic records before starting orthodontic treatment. Diagnostic records consist of digital X-Ray's, Intra Oral & Extra Oral Photos, and impressions to make molds of your teeth. Once the records have been reviewed, we will confirm your treatment plan, and you will be ready to start treatment. We can take diagnostic records at your initial visit to save you an additional appointment.
You periodic visits will be an important part of your orthodontic treatment. Generally, we will want to see you every 4-6 weeks to check your progress and make adjustments to your braces or appliances. During treatment, you will need to keep appointments, follow instructions, as well as practice good oral hygiene and proper nutrition. Once your braces are removed, retainers are utilized to hold your teeth in their new positions until your bone, gums and muscles adapt to the new positions of the teeth.
Your smile is just as important to us as it is to you, and that's why we offer the latest in orthodontic technology. With the latest in braces that we offer, treatment may be between 6 months to 24 months, depending on the age of the patient, the severity of the problem and the patient's level of cooperation.
During your orthodontic treatment, you should keep your routine dental check-ups with your family dentist.
